Masterpieces from The Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium
 The Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium in Brussels, the foremost museum in Belgium, house a large collection of Belgian art works from the 15th century up to the modern period. This exhibition is to present its 400-years history and diversity with 109 masterpieces selected out of the collection. It includes ‘The Fall of Icarus’ which is said to be painted by Pieter Bruegel the Elder, one of the most well known painters in Belgium history, among with works by Rubens, Van Dyck, Jordaens, to Khnopff, Ensor, Magritte and Delvaux. This is the biggest ever exhibition in Japan which cover the overall collection from the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium.
The exhibition is on view:
September 12th−December 10th, 2006 at the National Museum of Western Art, TOKYO (7−7 Ueno-koen, Taito-ku, Tokyo)
Gallery hours:
9:30a.m.-5:30p.m. (until 8:00 p.m. on Fridays). Please enter 30 minutes before closing time.
